World Cup week
Every year we qualify 12 of the fastest times from the leaderboard and host a World Cup Championship week here in beautiful Lake District of Finland in Kuopio.
The week starts 3 days ahead of a two day competition weekend, during the days leading to the race there’s time to hangout, explore & run practice in a private lake front cottage where we have accommodation available for all 12 participants. We’ll go through the specifics regarding the race, rules and safety to make sure everyone is on board and familiar with them.
Saturday: Parallel Race Double Elimination Bracket.
Sunday: Main event - World Cup Grand Prix!
Parallel Race
Pits two racers at a time side by side doing three (3) full laps on a 75 meter Figure 8 track. (1 lap = 150m). Run as a double elimination bracket, each competitor can afford to lose one heat, but is eliminated after losing two heats. Top 4 racers qualify for an epic battle in the Grand Prix final, while positions 5-12 compete in two separate four person heats on the same Grand Prix track.
Grand Prix
This is the main event of the World Cup featuring 4 racers on the track doing four (4) complete laps around a track approximately ~1km long:
Heat 1 = Positions 9-12.
Heat 2 = positions 5-8.
World Cup Championship Heat = Positions 1-4
Winner of the Championship Heat takes the title which will then be recognised in the award ceremony.
Note: Competition will be televised and streamed live on Finnish channels ISTV & Alpha TV.

As your technique evolves, so does your line around the track. Progress is what keeps us coming back over and over again. The reward of shaving away another fraction of a second off your lap time never fails to keep the stoke high. 😁☀️💪🏻

eFoil Racing is a brand new sport. If your local eFoil School isn’t participating in the race yet, let them know about efoilracing.com and have them signup. There’s no limit on how many people can participate in the race, it’s global and available to all. 🏄🏻♂️ 🏁 ❤️ 🤙🏻
